Along the
Tokyo Metropolitan Highway some zones have a much higher incidents rate.
This area have been nominated “Smart Drive Zone”.
The usual approach would consists in placing signage advising the possible
danger.
In this case a different approach is used by working on conscious and
unconscious level. On a conscious level, due to the communication campaign
previously done,
Optical Dot notify the driver about Smart Drive Zone; on an unconscious
level they improve spatial awareness by changing their density and rotation.
